Who we are

Hi, I’m Nikki—and I absolutely adore dogs. I was born in Glasgow (my mum made sure of that!), but I spent most of my childhood in Tanzania, where I was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by animals. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with a wide range of dogs—from cheeky Jack Russells and affectionate Spaniels to clumsy Rhodesian Ridgebacks and many lovable mixed breeds. Most of them found their way to us through adoption—like Misha, pictured here, who I’m convinced was part fox.

I’ve now been back in Glasgow for over a decade, and I’m excited to turn my lifelong love for dogs into something special. That’s why I started Bonny Barkers—a warm, welcoming dog walking and home boarding service where your pet is treated like family. Whether it’s a cosy place to stay while you're away or a friendly face for their daily walk, I’m here to make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and happy.

I’m fully trained in Canine First Aid and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments.
